This piece was painted during the Monsoon season on the foothills of the Himalayas. It depicts the infinite view from up there on a surreal day that was filled with both bright sunshine and thick fog.

Whether it is a sunrise or a sunset - it's up to you. In the painting, it is both. Because during the Monsoon season on those heights and in a very misty weather it was so strange: sometimes the view was entirely covered with fog, sometimes the sun would suddenly make its surreal appearance and clear all fog, sometimes one would see the moon. It all seemed to happen at the same time...as if the time itself was eliminated.
